Benz: It was the most beautiful of coincidences that reminded Isabelle and Catherine of the importance of their work and their family's legacy: one stormy evening, when the lights went out, they searched for candles in the old family furniture. This search opened a window into the past, deep in a secret compartment of an old desk: found all the secret documents of Jean Orliac, their ancestor, the king's official supplier. Not only a letter with the king's handwriting, they also found the recipes for the successful wines of that time, which had been forgotten. At a time when technology was not yet capable of outsmarting the senses, the spices of these wines intoxicated the lavish balls at Versailles. This is how the Secret de Famille wines were created again, according to the original recipes for Louis XVI. and Marie Antoinette. A beautiful and deep black cherry color, a complex aroma created by red fruits dominated by blackberries and blackcurrants, very well highlighted by some notes of pepper and licorice. On the palate the wine is light and very well balanced. The richness and aromatic length with the silky tannins give pleasant sensations.

Chateau Labastide-Orliac ist ein Familienweingut mit einer langen und erfolgreichen Weinbautradition. Auf der rechten Seite der Garonne an Südhängen gelegen, umfasst das Familiengut 10 Hektar Weinberge auf einem wunderschönen Lehm-Kalkstein-Boden.

Die Familie Orliac beschäftigt sich seit 1780 mit dem Weinbau und bediente Ludwig XVI. und Marie Antoinette bei Tisch. Die Weine von Labastide-Orliac: Royal Heritage, Le Prince und Secrets de Familie werden noch heute im Schloss Versailles serviert.
Seit 30 Jahren leiten Catherine und Isabelle Orliac das Weingut und produzieren mit Leidenschaft Weine aus dem Südwesten der Region Lot et Garonne. Die beiden Schwestern verfeinern permanent Ihre Arbeit mit den Reben, pflanzen neue Rebsorten und betreiben Agroforstwirtschaft. Ihr Ziel ist es, Weine von höchster Qualität anzubieten, die sich vom internationalen Standard abheben aber dennoch bezahlbar bleiben.
