Labastide Orliac 2018

Benz: Art consists in being able to materialize your mind. That's exactly what Isabelle did when she vinified this sublime assemblage. Grape varieties, vintage, everything on paper would compare it to its little brother "Les Deux Soeurs". However, they are in no way similar. Power and fruitiness are at the forefront and result in a particularly refined wine, supported by a bold Cabernet, a delicious bouquet and an intense finish. Elegant dark red color. The nose expresses an autumnal feeling and a generous harmony of black and red fruits, where blackcurrants and plums dominate. On the palate it is the charm of a fullness and a perfect balance between the fruit of the grapes and a light, almost imperceptible note of wood.

Chateau Labastide-Orliac ist ein Familienweingut mit einer langen und erfolgreichen Weinbautradition. Auf der rechten Seite der Garonne an Südhängen gelegen, umfasst das Familiengut 10 Hektar Weinberge auf einem wunderschönen Lehm-Kalkstein-Boden.

Die Familie Orliac beschäftigt sich seit 1780 mit dem Weinbau und bediente Ludwig XVI. und Marie Antoinette bei Tisch. Die Weine von Labastide-Orliac: Royal Heritage, Le Prince und Secrets de Familie werden noch heute im Schloss Versailles serviert.
Seit 30 Jahren leiten Catherine und Isabelle Orliac das Weingut und produzieren mit Leidenschaft Weine aus dem Südwesten der Region Lot et Garonne. Die beiden Schwestern verfeinern permanent Ihre Arbeit mit den Reben, pflanzen neue Rebsorten und betreiben Agroforstwirtschaft. Ihr Ziel ist es, Weine von höchster Qualität anzubieten, die sich vom internationalen Standard abheben aber dennoch bezahlbar bleiben.
