Benz: No one ever got there by playing it safe. The streets value people who take risks, who put everything on the line and don't back down. The rebellious spirit of Gympie Street, where courage and determination are the real currencies, inspired this gin. Made to celebrate the non-conformist rebels and the street girls because they were the ones who used hemp products long before it became fashionable. The traditional balance of gin botanicals masterfully contrasted with an earthy, grassy taste. Subtle pepper notes linger on the palate before the finish fades nicely with a gentle hint of eucalyptus on the nose.

Die Woodstock Gin Company wurde von Simon Von Witt in 2014 in der 399 Albert Road in Woodstock, Kapstadt gegründet. Von Witt begann, mit verschiedenen Botanicals zu experimentieren, um einen hochwertigen südafrikanischen Gin herzustellen:
Seine Leidenschaft für die Umwelt, sein Wissen über lokale Fynbos und einheimische Pflanzenarten ermöglichten es ihm, die richtigen Verhältnisse von Pflanzenstoffen zu ermitteln und die berühmteste Mischung der Woodstock Gin Company, Inception, zu kreieren.

Das Unternehmen produziert eine Reihe hochwertiger, hand-crafted Gins, mit handverlesenen Botanicals nach traditionellen Rezepten. Der 399 on Albert Gin ist inspiriert von der Geschichte eines Diamanten-Diebes, der seine Beute unter einem Baum vergrub. Doch als er nach einer Weile zurückkehrte, um den Schatz zu holen, war die Erde zu Asphalt geworden und die Bäume zu Laternenpfählen.

Denn die Straßen warten auf niemanden. Ob die Diamanten noch dort sind? Wer weiß...
