The Oil Friends
The hobby of 14-year-old Paul Belthle expanded into a business: He is now an oil miller - and the youngest in the country.
Every day he goes to school first and in the afternoon he devotes his full attention to oil production and his farm shop, where he sells the oil:
The Ölfreunde, the cooking oil manufacturer in the heart of the Upper Danube Nature Park.
When Paul was just 12 years old, he already had an oil mill under his Christmas tree.
In the beginning, he even did everything with just his hands.
In everything he does, Paul tries to keep the company’s ecological footprint as small as possible.
That is why the oil mill quickly decided that the oil lovers would only work with regional suppliers and only produce sustainably.
“ My passion, oil pressing, is more of a calling than a job for me.”
Paul Belthle, oil miller and founder of the Oil Friends
